What is? 

H-b-Ala-Pro-DabNHBz diacetate (Syn-Ake®️) is a synthetic tripeptide, with a mode of action similar to that of Waglerin 1, a polypeptide that is found in the venom of the Temple viper (Tropidolaemus wagleri) (Balaev and comp., 2014). Is a botox-like polypeptide with anti-wrinkle and anti-aging functions, which is used in the field of cosmetics and dermatology.

Benefits and how does it work?

Botulinum neurotoxins (Botox®, Allergan, Irvine, CA) cause muscle paralysis by blocking acetylcholine release at nerve–muscle junctions through a very specific and exclusive endopeptidase activity in the presynaptic exocytosis machinery. In search of a topical alternative to botolinum neurotoxin, synthetic peptides that emulate the amino acid sequence of the synaptic protein SNAP‐25 were shown to be specific inhibitors of neurosecretion at micromolar concentrations. 

Reducing wrinkles by inhibiting muscle contractions. Acting at the postsynaptic membrane, Syn‐ake® is a reversible antagonist of the muscular acetylcholine receptor (Fields and comp., 2009). Similar to botox, it blocks signal transmission and relaxes the muscles at the area of application in order to reduce the formation and appearance of wrinkles (Debono and comp., 2017).

It blocks acetylcholine receptor and keeps muscles relaxed. This  smooth out wrinkles. The relaxation of muscles is also how Botox is working. Through years of research, it was found that snake venom temporarily inhibits muscle activity, which prevents and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. With Botox, you have to get frequent injections to maintain results.
